ChatGPT and AI

No fear is our moto, and this year we have decided to explore use cases, opportunities and limitations of ChatGPT and competitors. As Victor Lee remarks in Stanford Research Stories" recent release of ChatGPT — a new natural language processor that can write essays, spit out a Haiku, and even produce computer code — has prompted more questions about what this means for the future of society than even it can answer, despite efforts to make it try."

With the help of important references, such as Detlef Hold, and from Prodigioso Volcán, I have compiled the following list. Please, if you have recommendations, please add in the comments.

5. One of many critical perspective on ChatGPT & Co:
"The big picture: Generative AI programs like ChatGPT don't have a clear sense of the boundary between fact and fiction. They're also prone to making things up as they try to satisfy human users' inquiries. Google-parent Alphabet faced embarrassment (and a $100 billion hit to its stock price) two weeks ago after its Bard tool bungled a historical fact in a public marketing video meant to tout the sophistication of the tool. Be smart: For now, experts say the biggest generative AI misinformation threat is bad actors leveraging the tools to spread false narratives quickly and at scale."

6. Lastly, you may have heard that ChatGPT made it on the Times cover recently. Here is a Times article that describes the limitations of ChatGPT and similar AI enabled technologies. Link here

Here a short take: "-- Should I take everything you’ve just said to be true and accurate?
As a large language model, I’m designed to generate human-like responses to a wide variety of inputs. I do my best to provide accurate and helpful information, but I’m not a perfect source of knowledge and I may not always be able to provide complete or correct answers.
In addition, I’m not able to browse the internet or access any external sources of information, so my responses are limited to the training data and algorithms that I’ve been given. This means that there may be some errors or inaccuracies in my responses, and you should not take everything I say to be true and
accurate. It’s always important to use your own judgment and common sense, and to verify information from multiple sources before making any important decisions or taking any actions."

8. The AI Guide by Prodigioso Volcan.
